7 pass rusher targets for the Packers

Best pass rusher targets for the Packers

By: Jake Rajala

The Green Bay Packers no longer have Rashan Gary. Micah Parsons is also expected to miss the first few weeks of the 2026 season. Hence, they could really benefit from another pass rusher entering the room. So, I’m going to unfold pass rusher targets for the Pack.

Cameron Jordan

Cameron Jordan is looking to go out swinging with a Super Bowl contender. The Packers are more likely to go further than the Saints, to be honest. Jordan Love is a step ahead of Tyler Shough and Matt LaFleur a bit ahead of Kellen Moore. Jordan is coming off a double digit sack season (10.5). He is turning 37, so he will likely play 1-2 more seasons. I expect him to go into Canton when it’s all said and done.

Carl Granderson

If the Saints keep Cam Jordan, they will have him and Chase Young. This could make their third DE (Carl Granderson) expendable. Young played like an All-Pro “when he was healthy” last season. It’s also well noted that the Saints could draft an edge rusher in round one of the upcoming draft. This would really make Granderson easier to trade away.

Jadeveon Clowney

Clowney isn’t the same player he was with the Seahawks, but he can still get after the passer and make magic happen in the back-field. He had 8.5 sacks, 10 QB hits, 12 TFLs, and four pass deflections. Everyone is still waiting for his Outback Bowl hit 2.0. Clowney should also aim to win a Super Bowl in his remaining days.

T.J. Watt

It’s widely speculated that the Steelers could trade T.J. Watt ahead of the draft. After all, he is 31 years old and coming off his worst season. He only recorded 7 sacks, 19 QB hits, and 55 combined tackles. He also had a PFF grade of 74.2, which was 31st among edge rushers. The Steelers could still get a first round pick for him in return, nonetheless.

Calais Campbell

Calais Campbell may not be Aaron Donald or the same defensive lineman he was several years ago. He is still a freak of nature and he often requires double teams on third downs. He can open it up for Parsons to twist inside and dominate. Similar to Jordan, Campbell is quite old (as he’s 39 years old). He’s the defensive version of Jason Peters.

Von Miller

Von Miller can bring back memories of Clay Matthews. They are both elusive and third down specialists. Of course, Miller is another Pro Bowl defensive end that’s on his “last legs”. He won’t likely have a performance similar to his “MVP of the Super Bowl” days. He can still get double digit sacks, nonetheless.

Haason Reddick

Haason Reddick needs to reset himself and take it one day at a time. He can still return to his glory days. After all, he is 31 years old. That isn’t old for “pass rushers”. In 2023, he had 11 sacks, 23 QB hits, and 13 TFLs. He needs to find the version of him that once had to prove his worth as a walk-on in college.
