10 best free agents destinations
By: Jake Rajala
The 2025 NFL draft is over, but there is still room for teams to improve their roster. This is in none other than free agency. Hence, I’m going to untwine the best landing spots for the 10 best free agents.
Aaron Rodgers
A-Rod is looking to join a team that can win a Super Bowl in the near future. He doesn’t care how much money he could get paid. He is fine with 10 million per year. Rodgers was starting to pick it up a notch with Davante Adams in his arsenal last season. Perhaps he can shine with an elite toy again.
Best fits: Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, and New Orleans Saints
Von Miller
It appeared that Von Miller was washed up in 2023. Then he bounced back and showed promise – by notching six sacks, eight QB hits, and seven tackles for loss in 13 games last season. At 36 years old, he may be seeking a team that can compete for a Super Bowl, too.
Best fits: Denver Broncos, Washington Commanders, and Las Vegas Raiders
Keenan Allen
Keenan Allen is like fine wine – as he continues to shine with old age. Allen scooped up 744 yards and seven touchdowns with a rookie QB last season. In 2023, he unleashed 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns.
Best fits: Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans, and San Francisco 49ers
Amari Cooper
It’s not time to put a nail in Amari Cooper’s coffin quite yet. He is still explosive and able to stretch the field. In 2023, he put up career numbers (1,250 yards). Cooper is also 31 years old, so he’s not overly old. He’s a Top-3 WR in free agency right now.
Best fits: Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, and Buffalo Bills
Brandon Scherff
Brandon Scherff is a modest talent at the guard spot. He doesn’t have the best run blocking ability, but he did rank 19th in pass blocking via PFF last season. Scherff is 33 years old, so he will most likely play a few more seasons at most.
Best fits: Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans
Matt Judon
It felt like yesterday that Matt Judon unveiled 15.5 sacks (which came in 2022). He still can shine in a rotational role. He reeled in 5.5 sacks, nine QB hits, and several tackles for loss last season. Judon also carries a Super Bowl pedigree.
Best fits: New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, and Cincinnati Bengals
CJ Mosley
Mosley only played in a few games last season, but that shouldn’t deny his talent. In 2023, he notched 152 tackles, five TFLs, and seven pass deflections. He was second-team All-Pro in 2022. He should still have a couple of more seasons in the tank at 32 years old.
Best fits: Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints
Stephon Gilmore
Stephon Gilmore is arguably the best CB free agent on the market. He had nine pass deflections, 56 combined tackles, and an interception last year. He may not be a starter, but he can be a CB3 on a team. He may be seeking a Super Bowl ring right now.
Best fits: Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and Los Angeles Rams
Carson Wentz
Carson Wentz fell off a cliff many years ago, but he still has arm talent. He can shine in a scheme where he can rid of the ball fast to his playmakers. He also can make impressive throws on the run. Wentz still has a few years left at 32 years old.
Best fits: San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings
Nick Chubb
Nick Chubb is arguably the best RB in free agency. He only played in 10 games combined over the prior two seasons. However, he was on another level in 2022, where he unleashed 1,525 rushing yards! He’s a low-risk, high-reward player.
Best fits: Minnesota Vikings, Cleveland Browns, and New England Patriots
