Best landing spots for Jaire Alexander

Jaire Alexander outlook

By: Jake Rajala

Jaire Alexander is one of the most talented corners in the league. With that said, he may be taking his services elsewhere, as Alexander and the Pack can’t agree on a contract. It’s been widely reported that he prefers to be released than traded. With that said, I’m going to untwine the best landing spots for Alexander.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints shipped away Marshon Lattimore and witnessed Paulson Adebo leave in free agency. Alontae Taylor isn’t Darrelle Revis. The Saints need more CB talent on their roster. Not only do the Saints need a gifted CB, but they have the resources to bring in Alexanders, as they carry 27 million in cap space.

Detroit Lions

Alexander could seek revenge against the Pack twice a season and chase a Super Bowl at the same time. The Lions have an elite pass rush with Aidan Hutchinson and some key defensive backs, such Brian Branch and D.J. Reed. Nonetheless, they could really benefit from another elite piece on a once very injury riddled defense to get over the hump. They also play in a division that had three playoff teams last season, so they need to keep their foot on the pedal.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t properly replace Darius Slay in my opinion. They could benefit from adding Alexander, who is six years younger than Slay. Cooper DeJean really came to life in the Super Bowl. He can hold down his end, but they need another outside CB to match up with Scary Terry, Cedee Lamb, and Malik Nabers. Plus, Alexander can pursue a Super Bowl trophy with Philly.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are in an unfortunate situation. First off, they play Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and Bo Nix each twice a season. Second off, they need more CB talent. They ranked 22nd in interceptions last season. Tom Brady needs to stay aggressive and link up with Alexander or perhaps Jalen Ramsey.

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens aren’t in dire need for a CB. Nonetheless, Alexander could help the Ravens have a cream of the crop pass defense by joining them. They drafted Malaki Starks, who was the top CFB safety, so it may be time to keep stacking. The Ravens also need to have an answer against the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
