Best landing spots for Amari Cooper

Best destinations for Amari Cooper

By: Jake Rajala

The former first-round pick Amari Cooper isn’t only the top free agent at the wide receiver spot. He’s the best overall FA on the market. With that said, I’m simply going to untwine the best destinations for Amari Cooper.

Buffalo Bills

The Bills may have a newfound philosophy where they don’t believe they need prominent WR talent to win it all. I’m not completely buying that outlook for long. I expect that the Bills will have a wake-up call this summer and ink Cooper, who was on the Bills last season, on a short-term deal. They also simply need more firepower if they want to beat the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.

Las Vegas Raiders

I love Brock Bowers at TE, who recently went back to school to finish his degree. I confess that I also love rookie Jack Bech and veteran Jakobi Meyers at WR. Nonetheless, they could still benefit from another toy, especially if they play in an AFC West division that showcased three squads in the playoffs. All three of the other AFC West teams were Top-15 in scoring last season, as well.

New York Giants

Malik Nabers is one of the best sophomores in football. Nonetheless, he can’t carry the Giants offense by himself. I don’t love the attention that the GMEN gave to their WR position this off-season, to say the least. Their WR2 is currently Wan’Dale Robinson, who averaged a lousy 7.5 YPC last season. If the Giants can’t ink Cooper, it may be time to reunite with OBJ.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints were intrigued at the idea of drafting Tetairoa McMillan. However, the Panthers drafted him ahead of the Saints. The Saints won’t lay down in the off-season quite yet, especially if they need to help a young QB succeed, as Derek Carr may miss a lot of 2025. The Saints still carry 27 million in cap space, so they can certainly afford Cooper.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have loved to bring in free agent weapons over the past couple of seasons Perhaps they want to ink Cooper, especially after losing DeAndre Hopkins to the Baltimore Ravens. I also believe Cooper is an upgrade over JuJu Smith-Schuster and Hollywood Brown. The Chiefs could be team where he chases a Super Bowl ring, but they may not have the money to appeal to him.
