Ranking running backs in the NFC South

The NFC South carries four running backs who deserved a spot in the Pro Bowl last season. There are explosive, strong, and versatile ball-carriers in the division. With that said, I’m going to rank the top running backs in the NFC South.

4. Chuba Hubbard

Chuba Hubbard is coming off a career season. He ran angry for 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He averaged 4.8 YPC. He also missed a couple of games! Hubbard had a 75.9 PFF grade a season ago. He’s a fine replacement for CMAC.

3. Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara is on his last legs. Nonetheless, he is still quite versatile and hard to bring down in space. AK had 1,493 total yards last season. Kamara also missed three games! Kamara should benefit from the Saints draft pick of offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr.

2. Bucky Irving

Bucky Irving is the most underrated RB in the league. As a rookie, he unleashed 1,514 total yards! He made a fine match with Baker Mayfield. Bucky had a PFF grade of 90.6 – which was fourth in the league. Bucky can be Top-5 in rushing yards if he stays healthy.

1. Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson is a tackle breaking machine. He has the power to shed tackles and the speed to take it the distance. Bijan had 1,456 rushing yards, 4.8 YPC, and 14 rushing touchdowns a season ago. Furthermore, he had 431 receiving yards! PFF handed Bijan a PFF grade of 92.8, which was second among RBs!

The NFC South arguably has the best group of RBs among all divisions of football. Three of the four mentioned ball-carriers are 25 or younger! In addition, the four RBs are capable of catching passes on third down. I would love to see Bijan, who I pegged as the top RB, make the All-Pro team.
