5 WR/RB trade targets for the Titans

WR options for the Titans

By: Jake Rajala

Let’s not kid ourselves. Cam Ward, also known as the 2025 first overall pick, needs more help. He has Calvin Ridley, but it’s putrid afterward at WR and even less impressive at running back. Hence, I’m going to untwine 5 WR/RB options for the Titans.

Chris Godwin

Not only is Chris Godwin 29, but the Bucs just drafted a WR in round 1 by the name of Emeka Egbuka to go along with Mike Evans. Emeka had an NFL score of 84, which was third among WRs. Ohio State tends to produce elite WRs, too. Michael Thomas, Garrett Wilson, and Chris Olave are high-end wideouts. I expect Emeka to take over the WR2 spot, regardless of Godwin’s status.

Tyreek Hill

I’d love to see the Titans swing for the fences and acquire Tyreek Hill. Their AFC South chances would flip, to say the least. Hill would also be out of the AFC East, which would bring music to Mike McDaniel’s ears. The Titans were also 26th in sacks allowed last season. Screens, jet sweeps, and deep bombs to Hill would help Cam Ward not get teed off.

Joe Mixon

Joe Mixon has been a pillar of consistency, as he unleashed 1,016 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns last season and 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns in the season before that. PFF handed Mixon a modest score of 75.1. Tony Pollard can bring the speed, while Mixon can bring the power.

Michael Thomas

Yes, I know that Michael Thomas is a free agent. Nonetheless, he could be a fantastic value pick-up. I’d like to see Cantguardmike put up a couple more Pro Bowl caliber seasons before going off into the sunset. Thomas can excel from the slot or out wide.

Rashid Shaheed

Let’s stay in the big easy. Former All-Pro return specialist dominates in space with his 4.3 speed. He was on fire early in the past season. He is also still 26 years old! I believe he’s worth a third-round pick. He could torch a defense and take it all the way off a jet sweep.

Honorable Mention:

AJ Dillon

AJ Dillon is a backup for the best RB in the league: Saquon Barkley. Dillon is still a powerful north and soul ball-carrier. He has averaged 728 yards over the past three seasons. At age 27, I’d love to see him lay it out on the field for a few more seasons!
