Ceiling for Aaron Rodgers
By: Jake Rajala
The former Green Bay Packers legend Aaron Rodgers is a sure-fire Hall of Famer. However, he’s in an unfamiliar system in Pittsburgh (despite their weather being similar to Green Bay) in 2025. With that said, I’m simply going to unfold the floor and ceiling of the eccentric QB.
Ceiling
Rodgers was a so-and-so QB for the Jets last season. He did start to turn it on with the arrival of his former pal Davante Adams. Thankfully, he gets to start with an elite WR in DK Metcalf. Their chemistry will be superb from the beginning. He also gets to play in an AFC North division that isn’t very talented on defense. The Browns were 27th in PPG allowed and the Bengals were 25th in PPG allowed.
I could see their ceiling as a 12-5 record
Floor
The Steelers are somewhat dry when it comes to weapons on offense. They no longer have George Pickens, who is in Dallas. The Steelers are also not superb at protecting the QB, as they ranked 25th in sacks allowed last season. They may also get swept by the Super Bowl-contending Baltimore Ravens again.
I could see their floor as a 9-8 record.
In the end, I believe that Rodgers is still a sharp, talented QB. We witnessed Tom Brady play average in his last season as a Patriot. He would then only unleash a drive to win the Super Bowl in his first season in Tampa Bay! Although, I don’t believe the Steelers have a similar quality of roster to the old Super Bowl-winning Buccaneers team. After all, they had freakin Rob Gronkowski (and playoff Lenny). I still believe he can go far, especially with the talent of their defense to complement him.
