Best and worst case for the Green Bay Packers

Outlook for the Green Bay Packers

By: Jake Rajala

The Green Bay Packers are one of the most balanced squads in the entire league. Their patience also wore off with Jordan Love. It felt like yesterday that cheeseheads wanted the Packers to draft a WR for Aaron Rodgers, instead of a QB. The Pack also brought in Josh Jacobs in the 2024 off-season and Matthew Golden in the 2025 Draft to bury foes. With that said, I’m going to untwine the best and worst case for the Pack.

Best

The Packers have one of the best QB-RB tandems in the league. PFF gave Josh Jacobs a grade of 91.5, which was third in the league. They also have a few B-quality WRs. They are also sixth in the league in rushing yards. On defense, I love their front seven. Rashan Gary and Kenny Clark are blatantly hard to run against. This is a big reason they are 7th in the league in stopping the run. The Packers also have a frozen stadium on their side.

I believe their best record could be 13-4

Worst

The recent release of CB Jaire Alexander could come to bite them. Well, it worked out for him, as he joined the Baltimore Ravens. The Packers were 8th in passing yards allowed last season. They may have a minor setback. A hidden, cruel aspect of Green Bay is that they play the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions in their division. They were the best 1-2 punch among all divisions.

I believe their worst record could be 7-10.

The Packers have a beautiful, cold stadium in January. This doesn’t mean they will be playing in it. They have made some changes, but I don’t believe they are no longer the third best team in the division. Justin Jefferson and T.J. Hockenson should help A.J. McCarthy make a smooth transition to the QB1 chair. The Lions also have arguably the best QB-RB-WR trio in the league. They can also get the 1 seed with half their roster on IR.
