3 underrated reasons the Packers could win the Super Bowl

The Packers could win the Super Bowl

By: Jake Rajala

The Green Bay Packers have a rich history, as they’ve won four Super Bowl rings. Their most recent SB victory came in 2011. In 2025, they have elite pieces with Jordan Love, Micah Parsons, and Josh Jacobs to help win another Lombardi trophy. Well, I’m going to lay out a few underrated reasons they could win it all again.

  • Frozen tundra

As it stands, the Packers have the first seed in the NFC. This means the road to the Super Bowl goes through the land of cheeseheads. They have a record of 23-7 at home right now. The Packers are also built to win at home. They have a power running back with Josh Jacobs and a stout DL led by Micah Parsons. Jordan Love also does a fine job of taking care of the football in cold weather.

  • Depth at skill positions

We all know about Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson. Well, let’s not forget about the first round pick in 2025, Matthew Golden, who has 249 yards on the season. Furthermore, Tucker Krat, is dazzling in the shadow, with 326 yards and four TDs. Emmanuel Wilson has also done a fine job of filling in for Jacobs on occasion. This will only help Jacobs stay fresh for a long playoff run.

  • Brandon McManus

Brandon McManus has quite the leg strength. He finally returned to practice after his leg injury. He made a 53 yard field goal against the Cowboys and then a 56 yard field goal against the Commanders. He isn’t a prime Max Crosby, but he has a reliable leg, regardless of the weather.

Every Super Bowl squad needs to be well-rounded. We’ve recently seen the Bengals and Chiefs light up scoreboards, but fail to protect their QBs. This ultimately led to their demise. The phrase “defenses win Championships” is completely true. It’s also vital to have depth for a long playoff run. It’s also beneficial to have a home stadium that can make life miserable for opponents. The Packers are one of several teams to have a distinct home field advantage.
