Sell Patrick Mahomes?

Patrick Mahomes may very well go down as one of the best quarterbacks of all time. The question is: Will he be one of the best fantasy quarterbacks moving forward? Patty Mahomes has notched 20+ points in seven games this season. He has scored 30+ points once. However, he is coming off his worst performance of 11.5 points. To make matters more challenging, he is up against a few stingy defenses in the near future. He faces off against the Denver Broncos (who are arguably the best NFL defenses) and the Indianapolis Colts. Two games after the Colts, they play the Houston Texans, as well.
So, Mahomes may not be a Top-5 QB this season moving forward given his schedule. From a long term perspective, he will likely not have Travis Kelce after this season, too. I need to see the Chiefs bring in a true WR1, rather than a few WR2s, who are playing up and down.
So, what would it take to sell Mahomes?
I would sell him for a first round pick with a modest QB, such as Bo Nix. It may also be wise to flip Mahomes and a second round pick for the likes of Drake Maye, or even Joe Burrow. A trade for a RB may be wise, too. Saquon Barkley would be an ideal target. Perhaps you could trade Mahomes and a Top-20 RB for Barkley and a slightly better QB. After Seattle this week, he gets to play the Bucs, Panthers, and Cardinals. As for Burrow, an owner of Burrow may trade Burrow due to his injury. Let it be known that Burrow has bounced back from worse injuries.
I understand that may seem bold to cough up Mahomes. Well, one should look at the direction from every player. After all, the playoffs are approaching. I hope this article serves you well, and good luck moving forward.
