Who will win MVP?

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback 32 year old Dak Prescott has been playing near his best football right now. He leads the league in completions with 253. He is also fifth in passing yards with 2,587 and third in the league in passing touchdowns with 21 TD passes. Sure, his WR duo (Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens) was benched for a series last Sunday. Well, they bounced back, and Dak was on fire. I really believe Pickens is the best WR2 in the NFL.
It’s not great news for Dak to hear that MVPs tend to be QBs on teams that have a lot of wins. Drew Brees unleashed 5k passing yard seasons on five instances and he wasn’t quite able to win MVP. Even Michael Thomas won OPOY (despite his WR Michael Thomas winning the award).
Dak also leans on Javonte Williams in his offense. He opens up the play-action attack. The Boys also have an underrated TE duo with Jake Ferguson and Luke Schoonmaker.
The biggest thing going against him is that QBs like Drake Maye and Matthew Stafford lead the league in stats and they also just happen to win a lot of games. The Pats are 9-2 and the Rams are 8-2. Hell, even Jared Goff, who has the same passing TD figure as Dak, has a winning record (6-4).
Prescott also just happens to play in one of the easiest divisions. The Commanders and Giants are dreadful and out of sync. Meanwhile, the likes of Rams and Lions play in brutal positions. That will help him climb out of a losing record. His Micah Parsons-less defense needs to pick up the slack. If they can play how they did against Las Vegas Raiders, they could win 11 games.
“Right now”, I would say Prescott isn’t quite a Top-5 MVP candidate, but a Top-10 MVP candidate. I would put five QBs (Stafford, Maye, Josh Allen, Goff, Daniel Jones) and an RB (Jonathan Taylor) ahead of him.
