Best landing spots for Breece Hall
By: Jake Rajala
Breece Hall is one of the most dynamic running backs in the league. He has recorded 900+ rushing yards this season. Well, he is set to be a free agent in 2026. Hence, I’m going to lay out potential destinations for him.
New York Jets
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The New York Jets have potent chemistry with Hall. Hall had 994 rushing yards in 2023 and 876 rushing yards in 2024. I’d like to see the Jets bring him back and improve their OL. According to PFSN, the Jets have the 21st best OL. With the QB situation unclear, they can’t also afford to need a new RB, too.
New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara is on his last legs. He is dubbed as the worst RB by PFF. Kamara needs a 1B at the very least. He may still have some receiving skills, but he doesn’t hit the hole as explosive as he needs to. Taysom Hill is also 35 and may be slightly washed up.
Houston Texans
Joe Mixon is injured and 29 years old. Meanwhile, Woody Marks doesn’t appear to be a quality 1A. He is only averaging 3.5 YPC right now. Don’t get me started with Nick Chubb, who is a shell of his once self. He just isn’t a 1,000+ ball carrier anymore.
Philadelphia Eagles
Hall could be a 1B to Saquon Barkley. Barkley isn’t an All-Pro caliber RB anymore. Perhaps it was the Madden curse. He only has three games over 100 rushing yards. Ouch. Barkley also turns 29 in February. Jalen Hurts may need a break from running the football, too.
Washginton Commanders
Chris Rodriguez Jr. is a modest RB, but the Washington Commanders could use a more gifted RB. After all, they are struggling to win in the NFC East. Jayden Daniels has had a bit of a sophomore slump, when he’s been on the field. He could benefit from a better running attack as he could thrive with play action and read option.
Hall is one of the best free agents in 2026, hands down. He has had a strong 2025 season, and he’s in his prime. It’s a rare combination. I’d like to see him leave the Big Apple and join a playoff contender.
