Who will get the first overall pick?

By: Jake Rajala

The NFL is celebrated for what happens on the field. Well, we also cherish events that happen off the field. One of those things is the NFL Draft. In particular, the first overall pick is quite polarizing. Well, I’m going to lay out five NFL teams that could get the first overall pick.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers look gassed and simple. They don’t have any spark to them. They are 1-2 right now. Their lone win was against the miserable Jets team in overtime. Their OL and DL can’t shine around the line of scrimmage. They really need Josh Jacobs and Micah Parsons back.

Miami Dolphins

I was never a fan of the Miami Dolphins bringing in Malik Willis. It reminds me of when Matt Flynn starring in limited reps for the Packers and then signing a big contract with the Seattle Seahawks. The Dolphins should bring in another weapon. Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill are gone and they aren’t’ coming back.

Washington Commanders

The Commanders haven’t been an explosive team thus far. They sit at 0-2 right now. It’s more scary than before. We witnessed Jayden Daniels get injured and he should be out for a while. He is avoiding surgery. I hate to say it, but it appears he could be the next RG3. They need to keep him safe and do more quick passes, just as the Falcons do with Michael Penix.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will not be placed on injured reserve, sources confirmed to @RapSheet and me. After imaging on his dislocated left elbow was evaluated and multiple specialists were consulted, the consensus is that Daniels now will be considered week-to-week. Both… pic.twitter.com/1P631iPStJ

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs are in with the sharks. They are sitting with an 0-2 record. To make matters worse, the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers have looked really sharp. The Bucs probably regret giving Baker an enormous contract. The Bucs miss Mike Evans, to say the least.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans could use a pep-talk, similar to the one toward the end of “Remember the Titans”. Cam Ward may be a magician, but that doesn’t mean he can carry the team by himself. He’s playing worse than former 2025 NFL Draft pick Tyler Shough. I’d love to see the Titans bring in another weapon for Ward. The betting man, Calvin Ridley, has been MIA thus far.

Honorable Mention:

New York Giants

The GMEN are a mess. Jaxson Dart is out for the season and Jameis Winston looks atrocious. Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo are still talented and should make plays. I also like their defense, particuarly their front seven. I hope the Giants can find a new QB soon.
