Kupp best landing spots
By: Jake Rajala
It wasn’t too long ago that Cooper Kupp won Offensive Player of The Year (two years after Michael Thomas won OPOY). Of course, he won it in 2021. He led the league in catches (145), yards (1,947) and touchdowns (16). Well, Kupp hasn’t recaptured his once magic and he is getting old in WR years – as he’s 31. With that said, the Rams are looking to move on from him and go in a younger direction – as they have Puka Nacua at WR and Kyren Williams at RB. With that said I’m going to untwine several locations for Kupp.
Kansas City Chiefs
DeAndre Hopkins, Hollywood Brown, and JuJu Smith-Schuster will all be free agents this off-season. Travis Kelce is also coming off his least productive season in over decade. After the Chiefs traded for Hopkins, they could show their aggressive nature by acquiring another wideout.
Chicago Bears
The Bears need to give Caleb Williams some juice. We’re talking about an NFC North division that had three playoff teams last season. Plus, Keenan Allen is a free agent, and he may choose to play with an older QB elsewhere.
Cincinnati Bengals
Kupp could be the player that can bring Cincy over the hump. It’s also worth noting that Tee Higgins may leave in FA. Joe Burrow could break records with Kupp playing alongside Ja’Marr Chase. The Bengals could use a reliable veteran to help them start the season faster, too.
Las Vegas Raiders
After shipping away Tae, the Raiders need another prominent WR. Chip Kelly also needs an elite WR to play with. Similar to the Bears, the Raiders play in a division where three of the teams were in the playoffs. Brock Bowers can’t carry the offense.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins could use more juice, especially if Tyreek Hill is banished from Miami. Kupp is also more consistent and reliable from the slot. Tua needs a possession wideout – as Jaylen Waddle will still provide the deep speed.
Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders nearly made it to the big dance w/ a rookie QB. Well, Jayden Daniels can take the next step by bringing his team to the Super Bowl, and becoming an MVP candidate with an addition like Kupp. Scary Terry and Kupp can find a way to stay pace with the Philadelphia Eagles and not get swept by Philly.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be the ultimate darkhorse Super Bowl contender with Kupp playing alongside Mike Evans, who is a likely Hall of Famer. Furthermore, Chris Godwin is a free agent. The Bucs could also stack up easy victories in their weak division with Kupp.
