5 QB Targets For Las Vegas Raiders

Latest QB targets for Las Vegas

By: Jake Rajala

The Las Vegas Raiders have a hole on their squad: quarterback. LV needs to improve their QB this off-season, especially if they want to compete in an AFC West division that had three playoff squads this past year. Hence, I’m going to untwine five QB targets for the Raiders.

5. Justin Fields

Justin Fields sat behind Russell Wilson, but that doesn’t deny his ceiling as a QB. He can thrive with his legs, and he has the arm strength to beat a defense deep down the field. Fields went 4-2 as the Steelers starting QB this past season. He had a modest PFF grade of 71.5 last season.

4. Kirk Cousins

Captain Kirk isn’t a Pro Bowl QB anymore, but he is an upgrade over Aidan O’Connell. He threw 18 TDs to 16 ints last season. He had a rating of 88.6. Cousins would be playing with the best weapon in his career with Brock Bowers.

3. Sam Darnold

Sam Darnold may not be head over heels to leave Minnesota. Nonetheless, J.J. McCarthy simple has more potential than him. Darnold is still a Pro Bowl-caliber QB. The Raiders are second in cap space, so they could make him an offer he can’t refuse.

2. Shedeur Sanders

Shedeur Sanders has made it clear that he loves Las Vegas. However, he will likely not last to the Raiders first pick. Perhaps the Raiders can trade up without destroying their future for him. He has more potential than anyone on this list.

1. Russell Wilson

There is no denying that Russell Wilson have Pete Carroll have impeccable chemistry. Carroll knows the ins and outs of Wilson’s ability. Wilson also has dual-threat ability, which fits Chip Kelly’s scheme, too. Wilson could get two revenge games against the Broncos each year, too.

Honorable Mention

Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston has had success with quality play-callers. He was on a tear with the Saints and Sean Payton until he tore his ACL. Perhaps he can recapture magic with a wise, creative OC in Kelly. Winston is still 31 years old, which is five years younger than Wilson.
