3 potential Hall of Famers on the Saints

Hall of Famers on the Saints

By: Jake Rajala

The New Orleans Saints are blessed with a few veteran legends, to say the least. These profiles could crack a spot in the Hall of Fame in my opinion. With that said, I’m going to take a deep dive into these few players.

Cameron Jordan

  • Eight time Pro Bowl selection
  • First Team All-Pro once and Second-team All-Pro twice
  • Walter Payton nominee
  • 121.5 career sacks
  • 233 career QB hits
  • 160 career TFLs

Jordan doesn’t only have a HOF resume, but he is still playing at 35 years old! He has shown to be a star on and off the field. Jordan has only missed one game in his career. I’d love to see him win a Super Bowl before he retires, but that may be unlikely in the near future with the Saints.

Tyrann Mathieu

  • Three time Pro Bowl selection
  • Three-time first team All-Pro
  • 36 career interceptions
  • 100 career pass deflections
  • 838 career tackles

The Honey Badger is a New Orleans legend. Everyone in NOLA is delighted that he is returning for another season. He may not go into the Saints Ring of Honor, but he should crack a spot in Canton.

Demario Davis

  • Two-time Pro Bowl selection
  • Four time second-team All-Pro and first team All-Pro once
  • 1,393 career tackles
  • 44.5 total sacks
  • 110 career tackles for loss

Similar to Jordan and Mathieu, Demario will likely retire after this upcoming season. It’s quite impressive that Davis hasn’t only been an excellent player, but he has only missed one game in his career!
