Three potential first-year Pro Bowlers for the Vikings

First year Pro Bowler for the Vikings

By: Jake Rajala

The Minnesota Vikings have one of the most well-rounded rosters. There are still a few players that will take the next step and punch their ticket to their first Pro Bowl. Hence, I’m going to untwine a potential first year Pro Bowlers for the Vikes.

Jordan Addison

Jordan Addison thrives with opposing defenses focusing on Justin Jefferson. Addison hauled in 10 touchdowns in 2023 and nine touchdowns last season! He also averaged 13 YPC in 2023 and 13.9 YPC in 2024. He isn’t only dangerous with screens, but he can take the top off the defense. Addison is still 23 years old!

Christian Darrisaw

It can take more time for fans to recognize success with offensive lineman. Christian Darrisaw deserves more respect for his performances. PFF gave him a quality grade of 81.4 last season. He was the glue for the Vikings offense and he helped Sam Darnold come back from the dead.

J.J. McCarthy

If Sam Darnold can play like a Top-10 QB, J.J. McCarthy can play like a stud in his first season. He gained valuable knowledge in 2024. It’s time for his to make magic happen with his elite WR duo. It shows how gifted J.J. is if he didn’t play any regular season action, but the Vikes chose to ride with him over the Pro Bowler in Darnold.

Honorable Mention:

Blake Cashman

Blake Cashman isn’t only a stud from sideline to sideline, but he can get after the QB (4.5 sacks and 11 QB hits). Furthermore, he was a stud in pass coverage (8 pass deflections) He also missed a few games, but managed to find gold in 14 games. Just as Demario Davis shined in the back-end of his career, Blake is finding success right now.
