Best landing spots for Russell Wilson

Where will Russell Wilson sign?

By: Jake Rajala

Russell Wilson still has some gas left in the tank. With that said, he is clearly a free agent looking to start for a team next season. With that said, I’m going to untwine the best landing spots for Russell Wilson.

New York Giants

I don’t believe that Jameis Winston is exactly a proven quarterback. Sure, he led the league in passing yards one time. Well, he also led the league in interceptions in the same season. Wilson was second in the league in deep ball percentage last season, per Player Profiler. He isn’t completely washed up. I would still like to see the GMEN draft a QB and have a three way QB battle.

Indianapolis Colts

Anthony Richardson can make magic happen with his legs, but he’s a loose cannon when it comes to passing the ball. He has a career completion percentage of 50.6. Daniel Jones seeks to redeem himself in Indy. Neither QB is a proven winner. I’d love to see Wilson and a three way QB battle.

Cleveland Browns

It’s unclear when Deshaun Watson will return. Even if he does make it back for 2025, he’s been a dreadful QB. Watson had a QBR of 23.4 in 2024. Wilson is a sure-fire upgrade over Kenny Pickett (7 career passing TDs to 9 career ints), too. The Browns have elite pieces on defense. They just need some fireworks on offense.

Tennessee Titans

The Titans probably have one of the least stable QB spots. However, Will Levis has a plethora of potential. He has thrown 21 passing TDs to 16 interceptions in two seasons. I’d like to see the Titans bring in more toys for Levis. Wilson could compete and potentially start, too.

Las Vegas Raiders

A QB battle between Geno Smith and Wilson would be the best QB battle in the league. Each QB has been around the league for a decade. Each QB could properly utilize the weapons on offense. I’d like to see which QB could have less turnovers and less sacks given up.

Honorable Mention:

Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings are an underrated team to acquire Wilson. I foresee the Vikes signing Wilson if J.J. McCarthy if struggles early in the season. Right now, I can’t see the Vikes signing Wilson after letting Sam Darnold leave. Wilson will most likely have signed with a team before the regular season.
