5 underrated free agent WRs

Underrated FA WRs

By: Jake Rajala

There are still a lot of free agent wide receivers that can help a team make some noise. So, I’m going to untwine five underrated FA WRs at this point. These cats won’t be a 1k yard receiver, but they can still make clutch plays and help their team pursue a Lombardi trophy.

Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett will most likely not make the Pro Bowl or be a WR1 on a team. Nonetheless, he still has some burners. He had 894 yards and five touchdowns in 2023. I’d like to see him reunite with Pete Carroll on a WR-needy Raiders team.

Deonte Harty

Deonte Harty can play slot WR and take jet sweeps and screens. He also brings a lot of potential to the kick/punt return aspect. He has been utilized in the special teams area by Buffalo in 2023 and Baltimore in 2024. I’d like to see him on another Super Bowl-contending team, such as the Detroit Lions.

Tyler Boyd

I’d like to see Cincy get the band back together and ink Tyler Boyd. He hauled in 390 yards in a brutal Titans passing situation last season. He had 677 receiving yards in the season before that. There is still some gas left in the tank for the 30 year old.

Nelson Agholor

Nelson Agholor hauled in 231 yards and two touchdowns last season – after recording 381 yards and 4 TDs in the season before that. Agholor can play slot WR and on the perimeter. The man from Nigeria can be a quality WR3.

Allen Robinson

Allen Robinson was expected to be a Pro Bowl WR in Sean McVay’s offense not too long ago. He can still make contested catches and bring leadership to the right WR room. He is 32 and he will likely not play more than 1-2 seasons.
