What is J.J. Watt’s MBTI?
By: Jake Rajala
J.J. Watt
MBTI: ENFJ
J.J. Watt said he would be a gym teacher if he wasn’t a star NFL player. I believe he fits the ENFJ bill – as he wants to be a compassionate teacher. He was also a walk-on, so he was confident in his intuition.
Comparison: Reggie White
Nationality: American
Spouse: Kealia
Net worth: $35 million
“Success isn’t owned, it’s leased. And rent is due everyday.” – J.J. Watt
Best moments:
- In 2012, against the Indianapolis Colts, he registered six tackles for loss, 10 tackles, 3 sacks, and a forced fumble!
- As a die-hard Saints fan, I know he had one of his best performances against us. Watt had a pair of sacks and a pair of tackles for loss. His performance was extra special because it came against Drew Brees and Sean Payton.
- I believe that any touchdown scored by Watt on offense is worth mentioning. He has 5 receiving touchdowns!
Watt has gone down as one of the best defensive players of all time. I believe that Watt has been intuitive since he decided to walk on at Wisconsin – as he trusted himself. He also switched to DT in last moments as a Arizona Cardinall because he knew that it was his best chance to fit in. Watt has also said he would be a gym teacher if he didn’t play in the NFL. I believe he’s an ENFJ given the long-term thinking and mentorship role he sought.
“Remember, once you set a goal. It’s all about how hard you’re willing to work. How much you’re willing to sacrifice and how badly you truly want it.” – J.J. Watt
Fun facts:
- Watt’s dad is a firefighter and his mom is building operations vice president.
- Watt started his college football career at Central Michigan as a tight end.
- Watt played hockey until the age of 13! He gives credit for hockey helping his athletic ability.
- Watt is the only player to record multiple 20+ sack seasons!
Outlook.
Obviously, Watt hung up his cleats and he will be a first ballot hall of famer. Watt is currently a studio analyst for CBS Sports. I anticipate that Watt will be around football for a long time to come.
