NFC West offensive triplets
By: Jake Rajala
The NFC West has quite the firepower. Whether it’s at WR or TE, they have elite weapons. With that said, I’m going to take a fun angle and rank the offensive triplets in the NFC West.
4. Seattle Seahawks
There is a new face at the most vital position: QB. Sam Darnold. Darnold is given the reigns after throwing 35 touchdowns in Minneapolis last season. Their top RB (Kenneth Walker) and top WR (Cooper Kupp) still failed to record over 1k yards. Klint Kubiak was one of the most creative play-callers in New Orleans last season. Perhaps he can properly utilize their talent.
3. Arizona Cardinals
It felt like yesterday that Kyler Murray could connect with DeAndre Hopkins on 50 yard throws. Well, those days are long gone. The new catching machine in Arizona is none other than Trey McBride. McBride still recorded 1,146 receiving yards (second among all TEs). James Conner is a gifted weapon, too. He unleashed 1,094 yards and eight touchdowns.
2. Los Angeles Rams
Matthew Stafford is the most underrated NFL QB. He also knows how it tastes to win a Super Bowl, which can’t be said by anyone else on this list. Puka Nacua is a Top-5 in my opinion. He unleashed 990 yards and 79 catches in 11 games last season! If he played a full season, he would have been Top-3 in a few categories. I like Kyren Williams, but I don’t believe he’s a Top-15 RB. If the Rams could add a top-notch RB, they would be first on this list.
1. San Francisco 49ers
The money man, Brock Purdy, is looking for his first Super Bowl ring. He is more than a game manager, despite comments from Cam Newton. His pal in the backfield is the third best RB (after Saquon and Derrick Henry) in my opinion. They possess the best QB-RB tandem in the league. After shipping away Deebo Samuel, I still believe they’re blessed with Brandon Aiyuk at WR. Aiyuk hauled in 374 yards and averaged 15 YPC in seven games last season.
