Easiest games for the Eagles
By: Jake Rajala
The reigning Super Bowl Champions, Philadelphia Eagles, are seeking to return to the big dance. With that said, I’m going to bring some enthusiasm by untwining the five easiest games for Philly. After all, there is nothing more fun than watching your team blow out a foe.
New York Giants
Let’s face it: the GMEN stink. The Giants simply aren’t built to win now. They will have to ride out the growing pains from Jaxson Dart. After Malik Nabers, the Giants simply don’t have a lot of firepower. The Giants defense will have a quality pass rush with Abdul Carter, Brian Burns, and Kavyon Thibodeaux. However, I don’t love their secondary. With that said, the Eagles swept the Giants, who they will always play twice, last season.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears will put up some points on the board with Ben Johnson. There is no doubt about that. However, they still ranked 28th in points last season. They moved on from Keenan Allen, which was a mistake in my opinion. Caleb Williams doesn’t play well when his offensive line breaks down. Well, the Bears ranked last in sacks allowed last season. This doesn’t bode well for the Bears with the fact that the Eagles ranked eight in sacks last season.
Dallas Cowboys
Dak Prescott is up-and-down in his career. In his latest season, he went 3-5. He also threw 11 TDs to 8 Ints only. They acquired George Pickens, so I expect some improvement. I still feel like they remind me of the 2024 Bengals. Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins, could light up the sky. Yet, their defense couldn’t save them from despair.
The Eagles have a tough schedule in my opinion. The Washington Commanders are lethal. The Eagles also have to play the AFC West, which will not be anywhere near easy. It will be exciting to see the Super Bowl rematch between Philly and Kansas City. The Eagles also have a date with the Buffalo Bills. This could be a battle that takes place in the next Super Bowl.
