Kamara trade destinations
By: Jake Rajala
The New Orleans Saints are in a minor rebuild. They are moving forward with a quarterback that has never won a game. On their defense, they have Cameron Jordan, Demario Davis, and Tyrann Mathieu. They will most certainly retire after 1-2 more seasons. With that said, It shouldn’t be a massive surprise if they trade their old RB by the name of Alvin Kamara. Hence, I’m going to untwine three potential trade spots for Kamara.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins wide receiver tandem (Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle) force opposing coverages to move back further. This allows underneath space for someone like Kamara to shine. It should also be noted that Hill and Kamara are nearly the same age. They can go out in the sunset together. I believe that AK is blatantly an upgrade over De’Von Achane.
Green Bay Packers
Josh Jacobs and Kamara could be like thunder and lightning. They drafted Matthew Golden. It’s time to bring in more explosion. After all, they sit in a division that showcased three playoff squads last season. The Pack REALLY need more juice at RB2. MarShawn Lloyd merely ran for 15 yards in his career.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns have chosen not to bring back Nick Chubb. This leaves a gaping hole at RB1. Jerome Ford unveiled 565 rushing yards, which isn’t superb. Not only do they need an RB to be a bell-cow, but they are desperate for an RB to help make up for average QB talent.
New England Patriots
The Pats brought in Stefon Diggs. It’s not time to stop there. With a young QB in Drake Maye, they need to give him as much help as possible. Rhamondre Stevenson is a modest ball-carrier, as he ran for 801 rushing yards and seven TDs last season. Stevenson registered a PFF grade of 69.6 for his 2024 season.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs have stayed aggressive in acquiring new faces over the past couple of years. I’d love to see them bring in Kamara rather than sign an free agent RB (such as Kareem Hunt or Jerick McKinnon) and bring them back from the dead. The Chiefs could use a receiving RB, especially one in the slot, alongside Travis Kelce.
Honorable Mention:
Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals have been brutal over the past couple of seasons. They could use more talent on their offense, especially because they need to keep pace with San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles. James Conner can run up the middle, while AK could run on the edge.
