AFC North: ranking QBs

Who is the best AFC North QB?

By: Jake Rajala

The AFC North has a few golden quarterbacks. There is also a combination of youth and age. There have even been Super Bowl MVPs on this list! With that said, I’m going to rank the AFC North QBs.

4. Cleveland Browns: Joe Flacco

The former Super Bowl Champion, Joe Flacco is trying harder to prove himself on the field than be a role model off the field. Flacco is 40 years old, which may come as a surprise to a lot of folks. In 2023, Flacco won Comeback Player of The Year. Last season, he threw 12 TDs to 7 ints. In 2023, he went 4-1.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers: Aaron Rodgers

It may come as a surprise to many people that A-Rod is third on the list. Well, that just speaks to the QB talent in this division. Rodgers threw 28 touchdowns to 11 ints last season. Sadly, he went 5-12. He went 13-3 in his 2019, 2020, and 2021 seasons. He is a year older than Flacco. He somewhat made an early decision to join a team this off-season. He will be playing his last season in 2025-2026.

2. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow desperately needs help on defense. Sure, Cincy has Trey Hendrickson (17.5 sacks in each of the past two seasons). Well, that’s not enough. At least the Bengals have the best QB-WR duo in the league. Ja’Marr Chase has burned the Chiefs secondary before. Perhaps he can pull it off again. The Bengals won the AFC Championship not too long ago.

1. Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson needs to stop following Drew Brees, which means dominating in the regular season, and then sputtering out in the playoffs. Jackson threw 41 TDs to four ints last season! He also ran for 915 yards! He also had a league leading 8.6TD%. Jackson was named first-team All-Pro in each of the prior to seasons. He also won MVP in 2023. Jackson is still 28 years old and I already believe he’s a lock to be in the Hall of Fame.
