Travis Etienne trade destinations

Best Etienne trade spots

By: Jake Rajala

Travis Etienne had loads of potential entering the NFL. Sadly, his beginning started with a torn ACL. He ran for a modest 1,008 rushing yards in 2023. However, his reputation took a nosedive after he ran for 558 yards and two touchdowns last season. With that said, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was shipped out of Jacksonville if he putters out again. Hence, I’m going to untwine five trade destinations for him.

Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns decided to not bring back their Pro Bowl RB Nick Chubb. The Browns new RB1 is Jerome Ford, who is a modest ball-carrier, but he’s not a 1k-yard RB in my opinion. The Browns also need extra help for an unknown, average starting QB. Besides David Njoku and Jerry Jeudy, the Browns are aching for weapons.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints really need a quality RB2. Cam Akers was brought on recently, but I believe he will fight to make the roster, rather than be a sure-fire RB2. Kendre Miller has had significant injury issues since he was drafted in the third round. Alvin Kamara is similar to Travis, except AK turns 30 in late July.

New England Patriots

Josh McDaniels has excelled with rotating many running backs. The Pats also need to make Drake Maye feel comfortable in the pocket. If a team gets too hostile against him, they will know when to throw the screen to him. Rhamondre Stevenson could also be pushed from the starting RB chair, if he doesn’t stand out in any way.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs axed the former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire last season. They have also been through many RBs over the past few seasons. They could put an end to rotating too many RBs by getting an energetic, versatile RB2 in Etienne. Etienne could be the x-factor against the Bills, Chargers, Lions, and Eagles.

Green Bay Packers

Josh Jacobs and Etienne could be like thunder and lightning. Jacobs can’t always have a mega load, too. MarShawn Lloyd has proven to be a bust so far. He only ran for 15 yards on six carries last season. Defenses will break in the fourth quarter against the speed of Etienne.
