Best and worst case for the Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore Ravens outlook

By: Jake Rajala

The Baltimore Ravens came so close to tasting Super Bowl glory last season. They still deserve respect for having the best QB-RB tandem in the league. Furthermore, they carry an elite defense. With that said, I’m going to unfold the best and worst case for the Baltimore Ravens.

Worst

It’s hard to throw stones at the Baltimore Ravens. Nonetheless, I will try my hardest to do so. Their QB Lamar Jackson is a regular MVP candidate. However, I could point out that Jackson has had injury issues. He only played in 12 games in 2021 and 2022. The Ravens also don’t have a Top-15 WR group in my opinion. Relying on Mark Andrews seems murky after his playoff drops, too. Derrick Henry is also over 30 years old, which means he’s getting closer to RB heaven.

I believe their worst record could be 10-7

Best

The Ravens were the best regular season team last season, despite how dangerous the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs were. They were third in sacks allowed and second in sacks. Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson also made a fine case to be MVP. They also added DeAndre Hopkins and recently Jaire Alexander. I believe that Lamar has shown the critics that he is capable of playing at a high level in vital games.

I believe their best record could be 14-3.

The Ravens are fun to watch, but that doesn’t mean they are the team to beat. They need to find a way to take care of the football and make clutch moments against the likes of the Chiefs and Bills. I’d still love to see them stay aggressive, just as we’ve seen the 2021 LA Rams bring in many high profile figures to get over the hump and win a Super Bowl.
