What’s the best position on the Seahawks?

Seahawks positions

The Seattle Seahawks have many loaded positions. The one that catches my eye the most is none other than their wide receiver spot. They added two new faces in Cooper Kupp and MVS. With that said, I believe it’s their best position group!

The former Offensive Player of The Year Cooper Kupp recorded 710 yards and six touchdowns. He did this in 12 games, let it be known. He was on pace for 1,005 yards. That’s not poor given that he was playing as the WR2. Puka Nacua was on pace to have the third most targets in the league! Kupp is a third down machine, too. He may not have the best stats, but he’s clutch.

Jaxson Smith-Njigba is proving his worth as a first-round pick. He recorded 1,130 yards and six TDs last season. He had a PFF grade of 81, which was 18th among WRs. I fully believe that he will be a regular Pro Bowler.

MVS is one of the most underrated deep threats in the league. The former Green Bay Packer averaged 22.6 YPC, which was toward the top of the league. When he averaged 20.9 YPC in 2020, he led the league. MVS followed offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak from the Saints to the Seahawks. The Saints signed the deep threat Brandin Cooks to replace him.

I would hand the Seahawks WR group a B. It’s not overly sexy, but it’s one of the top WR groups in the NFC. I would say that the LA Rams have a slightly more impressive WR core than the Hawks WR group, however. They have a fine combination of youth and veterans.

I predict that the Hawks top three WRs will be with the team for at least a few more seasons. Kupp and MVS should have unique roles, while Jaxson can simply be productive anywhere.
