Should the Dolphins trade for Alvin Kamara?

Dolphins trade for Alvin Kamara

The Miami Dolphins have been reeling in players left and right. First, they trade Jalen Ramsey for Minkah Fitzpatrick. Recently, they traded for Darren Waller, who came out of retirement. With that said, should the constant trading stop there?

I don’t believe so.

I’d love to see them push to acquire Alvin Kamara. I recently dubbed the Broncos as a golden fit, where Sean Payton reigns. Well, I love the aggression from the Phins recently. Plus, they have an elite WR duo, a quality TE, but they are missing a top-shelf RB!

Kamara can do it all, which should make Mike Danieil pleased. He can play zone run, take tosses out-wide, and excel in the screen game! We witnessed Kamara take a 57 yard screen to the house against the Cowboys last season.

The Saints are also in a semi-rebuilding phase. They traded away Marshon Lattimore last season! Obviously, they are confident in rolling with a rookie or second year QB. This smells like a mild rebuild.

I really like the Saints back-up RBs, as well. Kendre Miller was dragging multiple defenders with him when he briefly played last season. They recently signed Cam Akers and they drafted Devin Neal, too. PFF recently ranked the Saints as the 21st best RB group. They can’t get too much worse.

I’d expect the Saints to get a mid-round pick from the Phins for Kamara. I still believe Kamara has a freak work ethic and he will be shedding tackles constantly for a few more seasons.

De’Von Achange is a modest, top-30 RB, but he’s not a Pro Bowler. I’d love to see the Phins bring in a more gifted, versatile RB, who is also mentally ahead of most RBs with Kamara. If they want to beat the reigning MVP Josh Allen, they need to keep their gas on the pedal.
