3 RB targets for the Cleveland Browns

RB targets for the Browns

By: Jake Rajala

The Cleveland Browns have underrated pieces on offense. They have David Njoku at TE. He made his first Pro Bowl in 2023. Then they have wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who made his first Pro Bowl last season. I believe their missing link is at RB. After all, they failed to bring back Nick Chubb. With that said, I’m going to unfold a few RB targets for them.

James Cook

According to Last Word On Sports, there hasn’t been a lot of progress between James Cook and the Bills on a contract. Not only is Cook a dangerous RB, but he’s also 25 years old. The Bills are confident in the depth at their skill spots. They chose to not go after a 1k yard WR this off-season. Cook ran for 16 touchdowns last season! PFF handed him a grade of 82.3, which is solid.

Alvin Kamara

I recently dubbed the trade machine in the Miami Dolphins a quality destination for Kamara. I believe the Browns would also be a quality fit. After all, he can run and catch a hundred passes. He is one of the best RBs in space. He may not be the best dynasty RB, as he turns 30 in late July. The Browns aren’t scared of old age, as Joe Flacco is 40!

Kareem Hunt

Not only does Kareem Hunt have chemistry with the Cleveland Browns, but he sits in a crowded Chiefs RB room. This means they may deem Hunt more expendable. The other Chiefs RBs Isiah Pacheco and Elijah Mitchell are a solid 1-2 punch at RB, too. Hunt may not win a Super Bowl with the Browns, as he has a real shot of doing so in Kansas City.

The Browns could get a Top-5 pick in the upcoming draft, but they could still improve their roster and reel in a key RB to get production from for years ahead. Of course, Hunt and Kamara may only play 2-3 more seasons. Nonetheless, they could go far with a superb RB, quality WR, and imposing TE, if they can just find a bloody QB.
