Hall potential trade spots
By: Jake Rajala
Breece Hall has had some confusion with the New York Jets. He said he’s not their guy and it’s clear a long-term fit seems murky. Hence, I’m going to unfold potential trade spots for him.
Cleveland Browns
Hall isn’t a Pro Bowler, but he is an upgrade over fifth round pick Jerome Ford. Ford has recorded 1,390 rushing yards in three seasons. The days of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt terrorizing foes are over. They need a new gifted, young RB.
Dallas Cowboys
I don’t love Javonte Williams. He hasn’t averaged over 3.7 YPC in the past two seasons. He also only has one season over 900 yards. PFF has given him a grade of 61.6, which was 41st out of 47! Yes, you read that correctly.
San Francisco 49ers
Not only has Christian McCaffrey had injury issues, but Kyle Shanahan loves to have many capable RBs on his roster. Hall would be an upgrade over 2025 fifth round pick, Jordan James at RB3 and potentially Isaac Guerendo at RB2. Hall is also a fantastic one-cut RB, which fits Shanny’s offense well.
New Orleans Saints
Alvin Kamara recently turned 30 years old. He needs help at RB. Kendre Miller can’t stay healthy and Jamaal Williams was let go by the Saints. The Saints have a young QB (Tyler Shough or Spencer Rattler). It’s time to gift the young, unknown starting QB a young QB.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers aren’t aching for a RB, but they are gearing up for a Super Bowl run. He would certainly help take the stress off A-Rod and help him in the play-action game. Hall would still likely be an upgrade over Jaylen Warren, who only managed to run for 511 yards and one touchdown last season.
Honorable Mention:
Philadelphia Eagles
Of course, Saquon Barkley is going to get the vast majority of the carries. Hall can still help take the load off Saquon, on occasion. Will Shipley (30 carries for 82 yards) isn’t a daunting RB. Barkley has had injury issues in the past, so Hall could be a good emergency RB.
