Who will win the Super Bowl?
By: Jake Rajala
The NFL season is less than a month away. Each NFL team is gearing up for a deep playoff run. Well, there will only be so many teams that have a legit shot to win the Super Bowl. With that said, I’m going to unfold five teams in the NFC that could actually win it.
Philadelphia Eagles
Philly was the only team it man-handle the Chiefs last season. They have the best running back in the league and a Top-5 wide receiver duo. Of course, it’s impossible to dismiss the talent on their defense. Jalen Carter was unblockable in the prior playoffs. Cooper Dejean is also one of the most underrated DBs.
Detroit Lions
The team in the Motor City was the best regular season team last season. However, they couldn’t escape their injuries on defense. I’d love to see Aidan Hutchinson stay healthy and push to break the sack record. Jahmyr Gibbs is also a home-run threat every time he touches the ball.
Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders, also known as the team that blew out the Lions last postseason, will look to return to the NFC Championship. I previously slotted Jayden Daniels as the best NFC East QB. They also added Deebo Samuel this offseason. They just need to retain Terry McLaurin.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield is the second coming of Brett Favre. He’s quite the gunslinger. He gets to play with Mike Evans, who hauls in 1k yards every season. He is helped by a defense that has Lavonte David and Antoine Winfield Jr. Let’s not forget that the Bucs play in one of the easiest divisions (NFC South).
Los Angeles Rams
I believe the LA Rams have the best WR tandem with Puka Nacua (who was first among WRs by PFF) and Davante Adams. They don’t have Aaron Donald anymore, but they do have Jared Verse, who won Defensive Rookie of the Year. Matthew Stafford has also won a Super Bowl already, so he knows what it takes every day to be the best.
