Hardest games for the Cowboys
By: Jake Rajala
The Dallas Cowboys face an uphill battle this season. They play two games against the reigning Super Bowl Champions (Philadelphia Eagles) and the other team that made the NFC Championship (Washington Commanders). To make matters more difficult, Jerry Jones recently traded away All-Pro LB Micah Parsons.
With that said, I’m going to take a unique angle and unfold the five hardest non-divisional games for the Boys.
Detroit Lions
Say hello to the reigning NFC North Champions. The Lions finished 15-2 last season. Not only did they dismantle nearly everybody in the back-end of last season, but they did it with a plethora of injuries. I can’t wait to see how the Lions perform with a healthy defense. In particular, Aidan Hutchinson will return healthy.
Kansas City Chiefs
Patrick Mahomes hasn’t thrown 50 touchdowns or 5k yards in a moment. Nonetheless, Mahomes has still been clutch. He has proven that he can make magic without Tyreek Hill. Time will tell if he can shine without Travis Kelce.
Denver Broncos
Sean Payton is the most underrated play-caller in the league. Bo Nix is also an underrated QB. His chemistry with Courtland Sutton is very impressive. On defense, the Broncos led the league in sacks. Vance Joseph should find himself another HC gig. If it wasn’t for a blocked field goal, the Broncos would have beaten the Chiefs in their first date last season.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers made some sharp moves this offseason. They drafted Matthew Golden, who could win OROY. On defense, we all know they brought in Micah Parsons. It may sound strange to say this, but he’s in his prime, at 26 years old! I’d like to see Love lead the Packers to more than 9 wins.
Los Angeles Chargers
Jim Harbaugh is one of the wisest head coaches in football. He led the Michigan Wolverines to a National Championship victory. This came after he led the San Francisco 49ers to an NFC Championship victory. The Chargers brought back Khalil Mack and reunited with Keenan Allen this offseason.
