Boys offense outlook
By: Jake Rajala
There is no hiding it: the Dallas Cowboys offense is well-rounded. They have a young, hungry RB (Javonte Williams), a pair of gifted wideouts (Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens), an underrated TE (Jake Ferguson), and a Pro Bowl quarterback (Dak Prescott). With that said, I’m going to unfold whether one should buy or sell each key chess piece in dynasty.
Dak Prescott: Buy
Honestly,
I am buying Dak Prescott. Number 4 leads the league in completions. He also led the league in completions in 2023. He also led the league in touchdowns (36) in 2023. Prescott is the 19th best QB right now. He is a talented QB who has had 2 pedestrian games. It’s the worst time to sell him. Although there are more Cowboys fans than most other football fans of other clubs.
Javonte Williams: Buy
Javonte Williams is 25 and having a career season. He had 20 pts, 25 pts, and 12 pts over his past three showdowns. He’s the seventh best RB right now, rightfully so. Williams is averaging five targets through the air. He may not have many back to back 20 pt performances. Let it be known that the GMEN are 31st and Philly is 24th against the run right now.
Ceedee Lamb: Sell
Ceedee Lamb is a Top-10 WR, but I believe the Boys will have a more balanced attack on offense (with Javonte Williams) than the offense that made Lamb get 135 grabs in 2023. Let’s not forget George Pickens is also in Dallas and got 9 targets in each of his past two games. I also don’t believe Lamb is as well-rounded as Ja’Marr Chase or Puka Nacua. I believe it would be wise to ship Lamb away for a first round pick and another WR.
George Pickens: Buy
Dak is a passing attempt machine. They have a gifted, new RB in Williams, but they will live by the sword (Dak’s arm) and die by the sword. With Lamb a little less productive, I foresee Pickens more involved than his Steelers days. He has 22 targets on the season. He had five catches for 68 yds and a TD in Week 2 and five grabs for 68 yds and a TD in Week 3!
Jake Ferguson: Buy
Not only is Jake Ferguson more involved with the injury to Lamb, he’s been quite involved in the first few weeks! He is fifth among targets right now. He also has 68 yds per game, which is more than Trey McBride, who is arguably the best TE in the NFL.
There has always been an impressive pocket passer and elite group of weapons in Dallas. A decade ago, we witnessed Tony Romo, Demarco Murray, and Dez Bryant. In 2025, we have Dak, Javonte, and Lamb. Hopefully, the Boys offense can stay healthy (which is an issue for Lamb) and competitive for the rest of the season. My favorite buy is Pickens. He’s quite involved for a WR2 and he’s only 24 years old.
