Saints offense outlook

The New Orleans Saints offense has a few gifted chess pieces. I’m going to take a critical angle and unfold whether one should buy or sell each profile in dynasty.
Spencer Rattler: buy
I really believe that Spencer Rattler is worth a third round pick in dynasty. He was PFF’s 10th best QB entering Week 3. I won’t blame him for the Week 3 fiasco, where his special teams gave up a return touchdown and allowed the Seahawks to block their punt. Rattler has off the charts arm talent. He’s shown this in each game. I want to see the Saints limit Josh Allen to under 30 pts, so Rattler has the opportunity to go blow for blow against Josh Allen.
Alvin Kamara: sell
Alvin Kamara is a versatile threat. However, turning 30 years old is worrisome for every RB. Not only is he 30 years old, but he’s been taking a beating on the ground and through the air. Rattler is also a modest QB who throws the ball more than nearly every QB. Kamara will get a modest amount of targets in the short-term, but he’s not worth a first round pick.
Chris Olave: buy
This shouldn’t come as a surprise. Chris Olave leads the league in targets and he’s only in his third season. Olave is a crisp route runner and impressive deep threat. Olave only averages 7.2 YPC, but that hasn’t slowed down the attention he gets from Kellen Moore. He’s had 12.4, 11.4, and 15.7 pts over this three contests. I can’t imagine the Saints change their formula – which entitles throwing the ball to Olave and Juwan Johnson a lot – in the near future.
Rashid Shaheed: buy
I am buying Rashid right now. Shaheed was one of the best deep threats in the league last season. Well, Rattler has impressive arm strength to say the least. I believe it will all come together at some point. He’s on the downward slope right now. I still believe that the training wheels will come off Rattler soon. Then we should witness the magic of Shaheed.
Juwan Johnson: buy
This is the easiest buy in dynasty history. The former Oregon Duck Juwan Johnson is third in targets among tight ends. He’s also third in catches among TEs. Juwan had a nice TD grab in Week 2, and he also had a dropped pass in the end zone in Week 1. Juwan is also 29 years old, which means he can play several more years at the TE spot.
The Saints may not have Drew Brees anymore, but they have many unique players across the board. Contrary to Kamara, their core pieces are young, too. I believe it would be wise to buy all of the players other than Kamara. My favorite buy has to be Juwan. It’s hard to come by a quality TE. I believe the system really helps him, even if Rattler is doing well or doing poorly.
