Xavier Worthy dynasty outlook

It’s hard to turn a blind eye to the fastest NFL player ever. Well, Xavier Worthy may deserve that title after running a 4.21 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine.
Worthy didn’t pop out too much as a rookie. However, that is somewhat expected. After all, Tyreek Hill only had 593 yards as a rookie. Worthy actually had more yards with 638.
Expectations have been high in Week 2 for Worthy. It’s time for him to put it all together (with his physical ability and understanding of the offense).
Worthy had 17.1 pts in Week 4.
I fully believe that Xavier will have a much larger role than last season. Travis Kelce is washed up, to be fair. Hollywood Brown and JuJu aren’t WR1 caliber WRs. It’s unfortunate that DeAndre Hopkins and Tyreek Hill are no longer involved.
Patrick Mahomes is playing average football right now. He’s going to find out where Worthy is constantly, so he can find anything to resurrect his season performance.
The Chiefs will likely not acquire anyone in a trade. The Tyreek Hill idea is gone after his knee injury. They have the hands and speed at the WR spot to be successful.
Worthy can also shine with jet sweeps, which haven’t been involved that much in KC.
Ultimately, I believe Worthy is worth a first round pick. He is bound to be the WR1 for the best QB in the league. He should command a plethora of targets. Worthy is obviously very young, too. I would try to acquire him before he unleashes many dominant games in a row.
With that said, we need to look at it from other angles. A question arises: what if Worthy is on a roller coaster and plays up and down for the next few games. I would still really value Worthy. If he is on a roller coaster for the entire season, then we have a problem. If he gets around 60 yds a game, I would cough up a 1st rounder for him. If he averages 50 yds, I would only give a 2nd rounder for him.
I recently traded my first round pick for Ja’Marr Chase. I’m willing to be patient with him and wait to see his ceiling with Joe Burrow back in the mix. I wouldn’t be this patient with Worthy due to him having Patrick Mahomes.
Speed isn’t everything. Rashid Shaheed was one of the best deep threats in the league in his limited action last season. Well, this season, he doesn’t have any catches that really stretch the field. It’s entirely possible that Worthy doesn’t get the action he desires.
