Kickers to sit in Week 7

Fantasy football is nearly eclipsed from the week, but it’s extra important to discuss underrated aspects of fantasy, such as the kickers. There are a handful of kickers facing serious obstacles in Week 7. Well, I’m going to point out which kickers should take a seat this weekend.
Blake Grupe
Blake Grupe would be the perfect “sell high” candidate. He’s scored 14 and 16 points in his last two weekends. Well, he’s going into Chi-town this weekend and it sure will be non-kicking weather. There will be occasional rain and wind gusts of 20 mph. I also don’t foresee Grupe having six and four attempts in two weeks straight. I believe the return of Taysom Hill will help the Saints red zone offense, and there will be fewer kicking attempts and more fourth down attempts, as well.
Chase McLaughlin
Chase had 20 points, 17 points, and 12 points over the prior three weeks. He took a bit of a backs step with six points last week. I would still say many Chase fans will drink the kool-aid and anticipate him scoring double digit points most of the time. Well, I believe he will be closer to six points in Week 7. I expect a shootout between Tampa and Detroit. The Lions also love to go for it on 4th down. This could force TB to keep its foot on the pedal on 4th down, too.
Harrison Butker
Harrions Butker has nine combined points in his last two meetings. Well, I don’t expect him to attempt more with their showdown against the Raiders. I expect the Chiefs to not slow down on offense, as Vegas is 23rd in PPG allowed. KC also loves to go for it on 4th and short on the ground with Kareem Hunt or through the air to Travis Kelce. Butker has a few 10 point showdowns and a few games under 10 pts. KC is also third in fourth down conversions.
Brandon Aubrey
The Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey hasn’t scored more than 10 points in a game over their past four contests. I don’t expect much to change with the Commanders coming to town. Jayden Daniels and Dak should go back and forth with TDs. The Dallas Cowboys score so many points (as they’re third in PPG) that they let their kicker out to dry. I would honestly move on from him, whether you could get a third round pick or no pick at all.
Jake Moody
Jake Moody is a backup on the Bears. He won’t be their long-term kicker, which was made clear by Ben Johnson. Just as I don’t love Grupe in the rain and wind against the Bears, I don’t love those conditions for Jake. I wouldn’t even be surprised if the teams attempt a 2-point conversions. Caleb Williams took Spencer Rattler’s place at Oklahoma and Kellen Moore took Dennis Allen’s spot in New Orleans. Hopefully, there’s many blows that come in touchdowns.
