Deep dynasty stashes for Week 8

dynasty dashes outlook

By: Jake Rajala

Finding a diamond in the rough can most certainly win your dynasty league. With that said, I’m going to lay out deep dynasty dashes for Week 8.

Shedeur Sanders

The 2025 fifth round pick, Shedeur Sanders, will replace Dillon Gabriel (who has three TDs in four games), in my opinion. Shedeur is a gifted QB2, and he can make a lot of magic on the run. He has shown more than Johnny Manziel this past summer and pre-season, so don’t make that comparison.

Darnell Washington

The Steelers TE Darnell Washington had nine points in Week 6 and nine points in Week 7. His chemistry with A-Rod is starting to shine. Cade Otton and Juwan Johnson are slightly better sleeper options at TE, if they aren’t already gone.

Will Lutz

Will Lutz isn’t a Top-5 kicker, but he can be a modest kicker in deep leagues. He has three games of nine points and another game of eight points. He is still bound to be leaned on a lot in divisional contests, that are tight and down to the wire. He’s more reliable than my kicker Jake Elliot, however.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs defense is coming off a shutout victory. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that they scored 13 points due to this. They only gave up 95 yards. Yes, you read that correctly. I would like to see more sacks from the Chiefs defense from exotic blitzes. It won’t be easy to take down the likes of Josh Allen with four down DL rushing the passer.

Deshaun Watson

Yes, two Browns QBs make this list. Well, Deshaun Watson has played like an MVP-caliber QB at one point. I’d love to see Watson join a squad that has impressive weapons. I’d love to see him in New Orleans. He could compete against Spencer Rattler, and the best QB wins.

Jeremy McNichols

Jeremy McNicholas is a modest pass catcher, so he could be a back-up flex option. With the 3rd down RB Austin Ekeler potentially on his last legs in Washington, there could be an increased role with the versatile Jeremy McNicholas.

Carson Wentz

Wentz has played like a borderline Top-20 QB. He notched 15 points, 23 points, 14.74 points, and 13 points thus far. I suspect that he will really lean on Justin Jefferson on TNF against the LA Chargers. On the flipside, I expect J.J. McCarthy to retake the keys to the offense when he’s healthy.
