QBs to sit this weekend

One of the most pivotal positions is none other than QB. It can be hard for a QB to drop 40 points, such as an elite WR or RB can, but that shouldn’t hinder their production and reliability. Well, I’m going to discuss it and lay out QBs to sit this weekend.
CJ Stroud vs San Francisco 49ers
The former first overall pick, CJ Stroud, wasn’t able to sneak out a victory against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. He lost 27-19. Furthermore, he only managed to score 14.66 points. He only has one game above 20 points this season. Michael Penix Jr. only put on 12.24 points against SF last weekend. The 49ers DC Robert Saleh knows which buttons to push, regardless of not having Nick Bosa and Fred Warner.
Dak Prescott vs Denver Broncos
Guess which team leads the league in sacks? Well, it would be none other than the Denver Broncos, with 34! The next closest team is the LA Rams with 26. Denver is also fourth in the league in PPG allowed. Prescott has also shown to struggle against top end defenses. He scored 7.82 points against Philly and 14.04 points against the Bears. Vance Joseph should get another HC gig in the future.
Caleb Williams vs Baltimore Ravens
The 2024 first overall pick, Caleb Williams, is coming off a game where he only scored 5.68 points. He was able to evade a few sacks, but he also had three turnovers. I don’t have faith in him against tough foes, such as the Baltimore Ravens. Matthew Stafford scored a season low 9.34 points against the Ravens.
Tyrod Taylor vs Cincinnati Bengals
The annual dark horse DPOY, Trey Hendrickson, could be back for Week 8. If he isn’t, we’re talking about a defense ranked 31st in passing YPG allowed a season ago. They were also 31st in PPG allowed. So, shouldn’t any QB start against this dreadful defense? Absolutely not. Tyrod Taylor threw a pair of ints against a middle of the pack defense last week in the Carolina Panthers. He also only managed to throw for 17.68 points against the Bucs early in the season.
Marcus Mariota vs Kansas City Chiefs
The dual-threat QB Mariota scored 20 points in Week 3 and then 17 points in Week 4. I don’t have a lot of faith in him scoring around 20 points against a stingy Chiefs defense. The Chiefs rank fifth overall in YPG allowed. They also rank fifth in turnovers! Mariota also won’t be the answer once Jayden Daniels returns.
Tua Tagovailoa vs Atlanta Falcons
The Dolphins are a mess. Tua is blaming his teammates publicly. He also lost Darren Waller, who was a red zone machine, for the rest of the season. Yikes. He needs Jaylen Waddle to score more than 2.5 points, which he scored last week. It may be hard to fathom. Let it be known that the Falcons are second in YPG allowed.
