7 RBs below 25 years old to trade for: Week 9

RBs below 25 to acquire

By: Jake Rajala

Don’t sleep on the most pivotal running back spot, especially in deep leagues.. It’s very vital to have youth at the RB spot. With that said, I’m going to lay out several RBs below 25 years old to trade for.

Quinshon Judkins

Quinshon Judkins is a bright spot on a disastrous Cleveland Browns squad. Just as Myles Garrett had five sacks, he couldn’t save the Browns. He has five double digit contests thus far. His best contest was 26.4 points in Week 7 against the Miami Dolphins. Judkins is 21 years old, so he has the world in his hands. He had 4.7 points against the Patriots, but he left the game early due to a shoulder injury.

De’Von Achane

As long as Mike McDaniel is in town, he will get Achane quite involved. De’Von is coming off his best three game streak. He recorded 31 points in Week 6, 12.8 points in Week 7, and 20.1 points last Sunday. I also don’t see Tyreek Hill in the offense beyond a couple of seasons. Hence, the offense should run through Achane long-term.

Tyjae Spears

The Tennessee Titans RB Tyjae Spears is coming on fire at the right moment (also known as right now). He recorded 17.2 points in Week 8, after several points in Week 7, and then 9 points in Week 6. I fully expect more work to be handed the Titans running game, as Cam Ward struggles to blow the roof off defenses. Spears has a bright ceiling at 24 years old.

Ashton Jeanty

The Las Vegas Raiders sixth overall pick in 2025, Ashton Jeanty, had a bit of a slow start to the season. Well, he really turned up the jets in Week 4 by scoring 33.5 points. He followed it up with 15.9 points in Week 5 and 16.6 points in Week 6. Honestly, he was a dud in Week 7 by scoring 4.4. Nonetheless, nobody could score any points in Week 7. He should still be the future of the offense, as Brock Bowers should be the second option.

Cam Skattebo

Don’t take the bait. Cam Skattebo is still going to have a rich career after suffering a season ending injury. All he did was notch 31 points in Week 6, 18.4 points in Week 7, and then 10 points last Sunday. However, he was injured during the game, which explains a decent game and not a terrific game. He has ran 410 yards and five touchdowns. Hence, it’s quite sad that he had to go out this way in 2025. He has that Adrian Peterson mindset, which means he will come back stronger.

RJ Harvey

RJ Harvey is still developing into the RB1 spot and he really showed his ability with 24.10 points in Week 8. He had a pair of touchdowns. He showed his home run threat ability. They are really showing the right plays for him to dazzle in space. Even with JK Dobbins getting fed, RJ was able to explode onto the scene. Sean Payton is a genius at getting his playmakers in space.

Tank Bigsby

The Eagles RB2 Tank Bigsby is worth a pickup in a deep league. He is just starting to get going. He had 10.4 points in Week 8. The best part is that he ran for 104 yards on nine carries. If he gets 15-20 carries, he could be a sharp RB1. The semi problem is that Saquon Barkley just happens to play RB in Philly. Tank may fuel Saquon to improve this game, too.

Honorable Mention:

Kimani Vidal

Kimani Vidal is arguably the most underrated RB in the league. Yes, you read that correctly. He had 19.7 points last week, after scoring 22.8 points in Week 6 and 7.5 points in Week 7. He has a career high 23 carries in Week 8. It’s obvious the Chargers need to feed him the ball more. He also had 12 targets through four games.
