7 potential destinations for Tony Pollard

Destinations for Tony Pollard

By: Jake Rajala

There appears to be a putrid ending between Tony Pollard and the Tennessee Titans. Pollard’s services are being hung out to dry in a Titans offense that is 32nd in PPG. With that said, I’m going to lay out 7 potential trade spots for the underrated ball-carrier.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are one of the biggest surprises this season. They are 5-3, and that includes a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers starting RB Kimani Vidal, is a sleep option in fantasy leagues, but I don’t believe he’s a bell-cow RB just yet. Hassan Haskins has been a dud. He’s the RB2, and he just has 212 rushing yards in three seasons. I thought it was a mistake to let Austin Ekeler leave town.

Philadelphia Eagles

As much as I love Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby, I believe there needs to be more efficient runners in the Eagles backfield. Saquon has mostly struggled this season. Tank simply hasn’t had a sample size big enough to know if he can handle 15 carries a game. The Eagles also just happen to be in the driver’s seat to win the NFC East. They need to stay on their toes and not slow down on improving their roster.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints need to find their identity. After all, Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough have struggled in the passing attack. I believe they can run the ball down the throats of foes. Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill, and their Top-10 OL can excel, to say the least. Pollard can bring a spark and a bit of youth (as Kamara is 30 years old) to the rushing attack. Kendre Miller recently suffered a season ending injury, so there is a hole at RB2.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns have a potential superstar with the 36th overall pick in the 2025 draft, Quinshon Judkins, but it’s murky after their RB1 spot. Dylan Sampson has 28 carries for 51 yards and Jerome Ford has 21 carries for 73 yards. Similar to the Saints, they could use more talent on their offense, regardless of the position. Perhaps they can beat up teams with a 1-2 punch in the run game, especially with QB Dillon Gabriel early in his career.

New England Patriots

The Patriots offensive coordinator, Josh McDaniels, loves to have a few RBs capable of running over defenders on his roster. With Antonio Gibson on IR, they could use a third ball-carrier (at least). Perhaps Pollard could be a RB2 or 1B to Rhamondre Stevenson. If the Pats want to go from a wild card team to a team that’s pushing for the 1 seed, they need to bring in more firepower in my opinion.

Baltimore Ravens

The Behemoth Derrick Henry and Pollard could be thunder and lightning. It also makes sense to bring in a younger face with Derrick Henry playing at 31 years old. Henry will most likely retire within a couple of seasons. Pollard should really benefit from Lamar Jackson as a running threat. On the flipside, the Ravens have been successful with adding average RBs elsewhere and uplifting them in their RB friendly offense. Hence, it may not be worth trading for a quality RB.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Bucs RB1 Bucky Irving has a foot injury. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are out, as well. The Bucs could use more firepower. Pollard could cement the Bucs as NFC South winners. Furthermore, they need to keep pace in the NFC arms race, which has the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Philadelphia Eagles. Hopefully,

I hope the best for Pollard and his future. I can’t imagine that he wants to be a Titan long-term. So, I unfolded many authentic, potent teams that may have room for the explosive half-back. His fantasy value should also improve if he is traded away from the Titans.
