Percy Harvin reflection

Percy Harvin is one of the most explosive skill players to touch a football field. Harvin dominated at Florida alongside Tim Tebow. Harvin was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings with their 1st round pick in 2009. He was drafted to play wide receiver. He did so in glorious fashion, as he won Offensive Rookie of The Year and earned a Pro Bowl berth.
Harvin was impressive at taking carries on some instances, too. Of course, he played with Adrian Peterson, so he didn’t take too many carries. He had 345 rushing yards in 2011. He also had 967 receiving yards in the same season. He was an underrated MVP candidate. Somehow, he didn’t even garner a Pro Bowl berth.
Harvin was traded around, similar to Brandin Cooks. In 2013, he went to Seattle. He was a key reason that the Hawks won the Super Bowl. He had an 87 kick return TD against the Peyton Manning-led Denver Broncos.
In 2014, he had a taste of the Hawks, as he played there for five games. Well, he flipped teams, again. He went to the New York Jets. It was like Alcatraz. He went there to die.
He played his final two seasons for Bills Mafia. He was far from being a threat. He recorded 218 yards in 2015 and then brought home 6 yards in 2016. Yes, you read that correctly. Just as we’ve witnessed OBJ get traded around, stand out in a Super Bowl, even he faced the reaper and had to decide he doesn’t have “it” anymore.
Harvin never made a Pro Bowl after his rookie season and he never made All-Pro honors. Injuries dismantled his career. At least, he tasted Super Bowl glory. I wish he was like the swiss army knife, Taysom Hill, who is still playing at 35 years old.
