Potential trade destinations for Bryce Young

Best destinations for Bryce Young

By: Jake Rajala

Bryce Young has taken positive steps in his career, but he hasn’t quite lived up to being a first overall pick. Hence, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise if the Panthers shipped him away in 2026. So, I’m going to lay out potential trade destinations for Bryce Young.

Miami Dolphins

It would be fascinating to see the Miami Dolphins trade Tua Tagovailoa with a mid round pick for Young. Each QB could benefit from new scenery. The Phins have one of the league’s best WR tandems in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. The AFC East is tougher than the NFC South, however.

Cleveland Browns

With Deshaun Watson coming back from the dead, they may be able to finally move him. The Panthers could welcome a very gifted QB in Watson, despite his past off field decisions. The Browns could welcome a new veteran to compete with Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. The only concern I have is that CLE doesn’t have much firepower outside of Jerry Jeudy, and they also don’t have QB friendly weather.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be an alluring destination for Young. After all, all signs point toward Aaron Rodgers retiring. They have DK Metcalf, Jaylen Warren, and Darnell Washington on offense. They also have a defense with two future Hall of Famers in T.J. Watt and Jalen Ramsey. The Steelers will also likely not have a Top-10 pick to get a QB early in the 2026 draft.

Minnesota Vikings

The J.J. McCarthy experiment has failed so far. He has played worse than rookies like Tyler Shough and Shedeur Sanders. The Vikings still have Justin Jefferson, who is arguably a Top-3 WR. Aaron Jones and T.J. Hockenson are underrated weapons, as well.

New York Jets

The New York Jets tried out Aaron Rodgers and Justin Fields. Neither QB turned out to be the answer. I’d like to see Young come in and properly utilize Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. The Jets play in a tougher division than the NFC South, as the Patriots and Bills are Top-5 AFC teams.

Honorable Mention:

Las Vegas Raiders

Tom Brady knows how to win, whether it’s on or off the field. Brady and Raiders nation know Geno Smith isn’t the answer. I’d love to see them start over and bring in a new, young QB with Young. With Young at QB, they could draft a WR to join Ashton Jeanty at RB and Brock Bowers at TE.
