Titans vs Saints: outlook
By: Jake Rajala
The (3-12) Tennessee Titans take on the (5-10) New Orleans Saints at home. They are both led by their rookie quarterbacks. Tyler Shough, who is the Saints starter, is on a three game winning streak. Meanwhile, Cam Ward has thrown 13 TDs to 7 ints. He has a rating of 79.1 on the season. With that said, I’m going to lay out five x factors for the showdown.
Audric Estime
Audric Estime isn’t a Pro Bowl running back, but he has some potential. With Alvin Kamara likely out and Kendre Miller and Devin Neal for sure out of the lineup, Audric Estime needs to step up. He was taken by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Jonas Sanker
Jonas Sanker reminds me of Kenny Vaccaro. Sanker isn’t scared to bring the boom against opposing skill players. He also has a couple of interceptions on the season, as he does a good job of reading the QB. He only has a PFF grade of 68, so there’s room to grow.
Van Jefferson
The Saints don’t have the best depth at cornerback. Van Jefferson could expose the Saints secondary, especially with his speed. Cam Ward has quality arm strength, too. Expect a couple of shots down the field to Jefferson.
Arden Key
The Saints have two young offensive tackles in Kelvin Banks and Taliese Fuaga. Arden Key could give them fits. Kelvin only has a 69.5 pass blocking grade, while Fuaga has a 65.1 pass blocking grade. They both usually excel in the run game and clearly not the passing attack.
Taysom Hill
It may be Taysom Hill’s last season, as he showed his emotions in the latest press conference. Hill has been one of the most unique players of all time. Hill can dominate from the QB spot, WR spot, and even tailback. The Saints will want him to go out with a bang, so expect him to get the ball. I hope he plays another season, as he showed last game that he isn’t washed up.
