5 things we learned from the Packers-Ravens showdown

Packers-Ravens reflection

By: Jake Rajala

The Baltimore Ravens travelled to the frozen tundra to battle the Green Bay Packers. Each team was missing their QB1. Hence, each team had to get creative and hope for more effort from everyone. With that said, I’m going to lay out five things we learned from the contest.

Derrick Henry

Derrick Henry is back! The behemoth at RB, Henry, had four of rushing touchdowns. He also had zero fumbles! That gives him 123 career rushing touchdowns, which is more than Adrian Peterson’s total rushing TDs (which is 120). We’ve seen the positive and negative side of Henry too many times this season. Well, we only witnessed the bright side of Henry on Saturday night.

Efficiency at QB

Sure, the Ravens and Packers don’t have the best backup QBs in the league. Nonetheless, they took care of the football and made quality throws in the cold. They showed that they deserve to be the backup QB in 2026. Huntley was 16 for 20, a touchdown, and he had 7 carries for 61 yards. Willis had 288 passing yards and three total touchdowns (including two TDs).

Field Goals

There weren’t too many field goals on the day, despite the high score. The Packers only had one FG, while the Ravens had two FGs. It was a cold day, so the kickers were thankful they didn’t have to attempt a 50+ yard field goal with the game on the line.

Josh Jacobs, where art thou?

On a day when Henry dominated, Josh Jacobs was beyond quiet. He had four carries for three yards. Yes, that was his stat line. It’s going to be hard to win with Jacobs getting four carries. He only had one catch for zero yards, as well.

Christian Watson

Christian Watson was the best WR on the night. He unleashed 5 grabs for 113 yards and a TD. He wasn’t scared of the elite Ravens secondary. He helped out his young QB, to say the least. He has an 83 PFF grade, which is 12th among players.

The Ravens are still alive in the playoff hunt. They need the Steelers to lose against the Browns this weekend, and then the winner of the Steelers-Ravens showdown in the last weekend of the season will have a spot in the AFC playoff gauntlet.
