5 best trade destinations for Joe Burrow

Best destinations for Joe Burrow

By: Jake Rajala

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow recently gave a fossil to each of his offensive linemen. No, he didn’t study anthropology. Nonetheless, that was quite a unique gift. It will spark more curiosity for nature. With that said, Burrow has recently expressed a sad tone revolving around the sport of football. I believe he would be more uplifted if he flipped squads. So, I’m going to lay out five trade destinations for him.

Miami Dolphins

In Miami, Tua Tagovailoa is the scapegoat, and it seems he isn’t a part of their long term plans. I expect the young head coach, Mike McDaniel, to stay and work with a new, gifted QB. Burrow could have another elite WR tandem with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle in Miami. The Phins need more firepower, as Drake Maye and Josh Allen sit in their division.

Detroit Lions

It would be quite an intriguing trade for the Bengals to ship Burrow away for QB Jared Goff and a mid round pick. Each team maintains talent at QB, and Burrow gets to play for a slightly more well rounded team. Burrow is also out of the Bengals conference and division.

Arizona Cardinals

I love Jacoby Brissett, who also happens to be on my fantasy team. However, Burrow is certainly more talented than Jacoby. They have sharp pieces on offense, such as Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride. I would just like to see them make an enormous move, especially with them having three playoff teams in their division!

Las Vegas Raiders

Perhaps the Raiders minority owner, Tom Brady, could have a say in getting Burrow. The Pete Carroll-Geno Smith experiment failed, to say the least. Burrow has a Top-3 TE in Brock Bowers and a quality, young RB in Ashton Jeanty. The AFC West is one of the most competitive divisions, so the Raiders need to make a splash move.

Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons could ship Burrow away for the Falcons draft pick, which is in the Top-10. Michael Penix could also be involved in the transaction. Burrow could have Kyle Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson in his offense. The NFC South is arguably the worst division, so Burrow shouldn’t have trouble wreaking havoc in the NFC South.

If Burrow doesn’t retire soon and continues to play at a high level, regardless of the team he plays for, he should return to the Super Bowl and even be a future Hall of Famer. I just hope he can keep a passion for the sport.
