Best landing spots for Raheem Morris

Where could Raheem Morris land?

By: Jake Rajala

Raheem Morris won his last four games in Atlanta, yet he was fired. It was nonsense in my opinion. Nonetheless, life goes on, and I believe Morris will find a new home, which will likely be as a defensive coordinator. However, he could still go elsewhere as an HC. So, I’m going to lay out the best landing spots for Raheem next season.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys fired Matt Eberflus, which wasn’t a surprise. They ranked 32nd in PPG allowed. The Boys still have some talent on D. There is no reason they should be the worst NFL defense or even a bottom 10 defense. Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, and Dante Fowler are well-rounded defenders for them.

Cleveland Browns

If Jim Schwartz gets the HC gig in CLE, I’d love to see them bring in Morris to be the DC. Myles Garrett and Mason Graham could level up with Morris there. They were fourth in YPG allowed and 13th in PPG allowed. Nonetheless, they could still find ways to improve. They sure need to stay on their toes with Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson in their division.

New York Jets

The New York Jets didn’t have a single interception last season! It didn’t help that they traded Sauce Gardner to the Colts. They still ranked 17th in passing YPG allowed. I still don’t love their ceiling and don’t have a lot of faith in their secondary.

Pittsburgh Steelers

I could see Morris being an HC or DC for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He should help a defense that ranks 17th in PPG allowed and 15th in rushing YPG allowed. They should be more lethal and stingy. After all, they have T.J. Watt, Jalen Ramsey, and Cam Heyward.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are another team where Morris could coach as an HC or DC. He has Maxx Crosby, but it’s not pretty after that. I want to see him build the DL and secondary. Jamal Adams is washed up, as he had a 67.3 PFF grade. I want to see them get a true heat seeking missle at LB.
