Klint Kubiak to the Raiders?

Will Klint Kubiak go to the Raiders?

By: Jake Rajala

Klint Kubiak is a creative genius. As a die hard Saints fan, I was able to witness his football mind in 2024-2025 as the Saints offensive coordinator. It was a bold move by him to switch teams with the same role as an offensive coordinator. Well, it may finally be time for him to get a head coaching gig. I believe it will be with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Under Kubiak, the Hawks were third in PPG. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is an Offensive Player of the Year candidate. Sam Darnold has also had 13 wins in consecutive seasons.

Most importantly, the Hawks are headed to the Super Bowl. They have averaged the most PPG in the playoffs, as they scored 41 points against the 49ers and then 31 points against the Rams. Let it be known that these aren’t slouch defenses, too.

He wouldn’t potentially be the first Super Bowl winning OC to become an HC. Kellen Moore was the OC for the Philadelphia Eagles last season and then he became a HC for the New Orleans Saints this season. Tyler Shough had a 5-4 record under him.

Klint has a brother named Klay, who is the offensive coordinator for the 49ers. Perhaps Klint can pluck Klay away from the 49ers if he becomes the Raiders HC.

The Raiders are a work in progress, don’t get me wrong. If they are patient with the young Kubiak and likely Fernando Mendoza, they should be able to reap the benefits in 2-3 seasons.

If Klint doesn’t get the HC gig with Vegas, then I could foresee the likes of Jim Schwartz or Vance Joseph filling in at HC for the Raiders. The Raiders have pieces on each side of the ball to be competitive. They just need to be clutch and conisistent.
