Best landing spots for George Pickens

George Pickens was arguably the best WR2 in the NFL last season. The former Pittsburgh Steelers wideout recorded 1,429 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. It’s safe to say he’s well-rounded. With that said, he is a free agent in 2026. Hence, I’m going to unfold five landing spots for George Pickens.
Dallas Cowboys
I don’t expect the Dallas Cowboys let Pickens go elsewhere. I imagine they will use the franchise tag on him if they must. They had a losing season with him playing like a second team All-Pro. I can’t imagine how they would fair without him. They must bring him back and build up their defense. The Boys are 30th in cap space, however.
Cleveland Browns
Shedeur Sanders didn’t deserve to make the Pro Bowl. Yes, I said it. However, he still has a lot of potential. He just needs more ammunition. Jerry Jeudy isn’t megatron. He needs another WR to take the pressure off him. David Njoku and Pickens would feast in the red zone together.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders will likely take Fernando Mendoza. I just want to see help the young QB. They have Brock Bowers at TE and Ashton Jeanty at RB. It’s time to have someone special at WR. Plus, the Raiders play in arguably the best division. They need to keep their foot on the pedal.
New Orleans Saints
I didn’t love the move by the Saints to trade away their former WR2 Rashid Shaheed. He’s already proven to be an x factor for the Seattle Seahawks. They need a WR2 across from Chris Olave. No, Taysom Hill isn’t the answer. Pickens may also like the potential of Tyler Shough, who could win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Denver Broncos
It’s a WR’s dream to play for Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton. He is a mastermind at getting the ball in space to his skill players. He can attack a defense vertically deep down the field and in the short passing game. Courtland Sutton can hold his ground as a superb WR1. It’s time to get him a partner.
Pickens is undoubtedly one of the hottest free agents in 2026. I expect him to get a lot of attention. I’d say he’s the best free agent WR. He is also only 24, so he’s just entering his prime.
