Best free agent destinations for Shaheed
By: Jake Rajala
Rashid Shaheed is one of the most explosive skill players in the league. He’s an All-Pro return specialist, and he has Pro Bowl potential at wide receiver. With that said, he is a free agent in 2026. Hence, I’m going to lay out several free agent destinations for him.
Las Vegas Raiders
Shaheed’s offensive coordinator is Klint Kubiak, and Kubiak is bound to take the Las Vegas Raiders head coaching gig in 2026. There is strong chemistry there. Furthermore, the Raiders are desperate for WR help. Al Davis loved weapons with off the charts speed. Well, Shaheed is most certainly fast.
Seattle Seahawks
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Hawks have Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp. Well, the x factor is none other than Shaheed. Sam Darnold is also a Pro Bowl-caliber QB. Darnold trusts Shaheed. Shaheed has also really stood out on the Hawks special teams. If he stands out in the Super Bowl, it would make a lot of sense for the Seahawks to be one of the favorites to land him.
Buffalo Bills
The combination of Josh Allen’s arm strength and Shaheed’s deep speed could be marvelous. The Bills simply don’t have a loaded WR room. Brandin Cooks is the WR2 and he’s not meant to be a Top-2 WR at this stage in his career. Shaheed can be the weapon that helps them finally reach the Super Bowl.
San Francisco 49ers
It should be a WR’s dream to play under Kyle Shanahan. Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel have been All-Pro players under Shanny. Well, Samuel is gone and Aiyuk is on his way out. Furthermore, George Kittle has had issues staying healthy.
“Help me Ricky Pearsall, you’re my only hope”
New England Patriots
Stefon Diggs is on his last legs. Besides him, they are aching for WR talent. Kayshon Boutte is a modest WR that can stretch the field. However, he’s not quite designed to be a Top-2 WR. It’s impressive that Drake Maye is an MVP candidate with his WR group. He can take the next step and be a legendary QB with a little more firepower, in my opinion.
Denver Broncos
Sean Payton is a wiz. The former Saints WR Michael Thomas won Offensive Player of the Year under him. Payton loves screens and getting the ball to his weapons in space. This is perfect for Shaheed. The Broncos should be Super Bowl contenders if they add Shaheed and a bring back JK Dobbins to be a complement with RJ Harvey.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers need a partner with DK Metcalf. Adam Thielen isn’t the answer. Shaheed is the piece that could help them return to the playoffs. Shaheed should love the idea of helping Rodgers win one last Super Bowl before he retires. Mike McCarthy is also a brilliant offensive mind and he should help Shaheed get the ball to succeed.
Honorable Mention:
New Orleans Saints
Never say never. Shaheed may be intrigued about the possibility of going back to where it all started (New Orleans). Shaheed can torch defenses, alongside Chris Olave. The Saints also have a creative genius in Kellen Moore. He could take a one year deal with the Saints to try and have a career year.
