5 reasons the Seahawks will win the Super Bowl

The Seahawks will win the Super Bowl

By: Jake Rajala

The Seattle Seahawks are coming off an impressive, well-rounded victory against the Los Angeles Rams. The square off against an New England Patriots squad that is coming off a victory of 10-7 against the Denver Broncos.

Of course, we all remember the Pats edging out the Hawks XLIX. With that said, I’m going to lay out five reasons the Seahawks will win the Super Bowl.

DL

The key to winning a Super Bowl is getting pressure from the DL, without blitzing. The Eagles beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl with a ferocious DL. The Buccaneers beat Patrick Mahomes with a hot pass rush from their DL. Well, the Hawks have a DL to get after Drake Maye. Demarcus Lawrence has a sack in each of his past two games. Leonard Williams also has several sacks on the season.

WR depth

When the Hawks nearly beat the Patriots in their last Super Bowl, Jermaine Kearse and Chris Matthews made magic happen. Rashid Shaheed, who is the Hawks WR3, can be that x factor. Shaheed had a catch for 51 yards last week. He cooked defenses with the Saints often. He is also a free agent in 2026, so he will do his best to impress.

Ernest Jones

I love the versatility from Ernest Jones. Just as former Seahawks linebacker Malcolm Smith won Super Bowl MVP, Ernest Jones has that potential to do it. He had five interceptions on the season! Against the 49ers, he had an interception and a forced fumble! I believe Ernest Jones will be quite involved with covering Hunter Henry, who is the Pats x factor.

AJ Barner

The Hawks tight end AJ Barner can be a red zone threat in this one. Trust that Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be double teamed. This should open up things for AJ Barner. He has six touchdowns on the season. He has a modest PFF grade of 74.4, which is 11th among TEs.

Klint Kubiak

The Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak left my favorite team (Saints) to join the Hawks. Of course, he’s in the Super Bowl in his very next season! Nonetheless, I’m happy for him. Klint knows how to be well balanced. He does a beautiful job at helping Jaxon get the ball in space, whether it’s a screen or having him run routes from out of the backfield.
